Welcome to Your Author Mentor, a service operated by Red Lester Ltd (“the Company”). By booking a service, you agree to the following terms.

1. Services
The Company provides editorial feedback and guidance on book pitches, query letters, and related materials. The exact scope of work will be confirmed when you book your session. Services are for works of fiction only. If a non-fiction project is submitted in error, a refund will be issued.

2. Turnaround time
The Company aims to deliver your notes within the timeframe stated at booking. However, in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness or family emergency, there may be a delay. If the turnaround time is expected to exceed 10 days, you will be informed as soon as possible. You will then have the option to receive a full refund or to work with another trusted author recommended by the Company (subject to their availability).

3. Conflicts of interest
In rare cases there may be a potential conflict of interest; for example, where the Company is already working on a project that is fundamentally similar to yours. In this case, you will have the option to receive a full refund or to work with another author recommended by the Company (subject to availability).

4. Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

5. Refunds
Refunds are available only under the circumstances described above or if agreed prior to the start of the service. Once work has begun, refunds are not typically offered.

6. Confidentiality
All materials you share, including manuscripts and pitches, will be treated as confidential and handled in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property
You retain full ownership of your work. Feedback and notes provided by the Company are for your personal use and may not be reproduced or shared publicly without the Company’s prior written permission.

8. Limitation of liability
While the Company aims to provide high-quality feedback, publishing is a highly competitive and subjective industry. The Company cannot guarantee specific outcomes such as publication, representation, or acceptance by agents or publishers. Please read the disclaimer prior to booking. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to your service.
